(More customer reviews)I was looking for an emergency charger, that uses AA batteries, for my iphone 3g, and came across this charger. The price was right ($4.99) and the shipping was only .50 cents, so i brought it. Most other emergency chargers are about $20 plus, so this was a bargain. Took about a week to arrive, and i tested it right away. Popped in 2 AA pre-charged Duracell and connected my completely dead iphone 3g. It turned on and started charging. It charged the iphone 3g to 60% in about 30 mins (Amazing), but took a total of 2 hours to get a full charge and required 4 AA battery (2 set of 2).
The charger works!! It does want it says. It charges iphones, and other cell phone with AA batteries. I have confirmed that it works with the iphone 4, 3g, and a couple samsumg cell phones. I tried it on my old ipod 1st gen, but it doesn't work,so it won't charge everything.
There are a couple things i don't like about this charger:
-It Makes a high pitch noise when charging my iphone 3g (audible within 4 feet, could be just mine, but not sure), but no noise when charging a samsung cell phone.
-Lid for battery is difficult to open.
-Flashlight is pretty useless
-requires 2 set of batteries (4 AA) to get a full charge on the iphone 3g. This is reasonable for AA batteries, but still.
If your cell phone battery is low and need a emergency charge, you can't really go wrong with is portable charger, especially for the price!
